Seat Belt automatic tensioner

My GTS ST is @ Porsche Glasgow for the battery recall and software update.
I’ve had a 4s ST since Monday which is more or less a home from home.
One thing I noticed straight away was the seat belts pre tension as you drove off. I’ve had this in several cars including my 2020 RS4.
My GTS does not have this feature despite it stating it does in the standard spec.

Maybe I’m not explaining very well.
It’s when you drive off there’s a short sharp tensioning of the seatbelt.
I was under the impression all Porsches had this feature.

Ours checks the belts are snug every time we drive off. It seems to trigger about 10 seconds or a few meters of travel after putting it in drive. It might be speed related.

I asked Porsche Glasgow to check. My car does not have this feature.

My colleague has it on his 4s 2022 CT also.
This does seem very odd.

I asked Porsche Glasgow to check. My car does not have this feature.

If you check the standard specification for GTS in the configurator, you will see pre tension is standard.

I think that is standard on all Taycans???

Might it be user selectable in the PCM? Or only with certain seat types? I've never noticed any initial tightening in any of the 7 Taycans (comfort or sport seat types) and 3 Cayennes I've driven (that I've not noticed doesn't mean it didn't happen, of course),

I am surprised you have not felt it. It is quite noticeable, at least in my car. A number of passengers have asked what that was when in the car for the first time!!

I noticed it as I drove out the car park in the 4s. I doubt you could miss the sensation.

My MY 2024 Taycan GTS has this feature: on driving off, there is a short pull on the seatbelts (at times freaking out some unexpecting passengers).
