That thing is tacky as hell IMO.
All the new VAG cars have the logo in the strip. The thin light bar looks really nice without having the letters light up, and then you also have the white letters so it's visible in daytime.

With the Porsche lettering it just looks like a newer VW:

The original design is better imo. I also dislike the fake vents on the rear bumper of the new Turbo/Turbo S/GT.
Sometimes less is more.

Well, there's different preferences, hence why the car has customization options.
I debadged my Audi S8 for example, other people put S8 logos on their 3.0 TDI.

Just prefer the clean look.

I also prefer the lighted PORSCHE letters, otherwise the rear light looks like the new Tesla models. Yuck.

I don't think it looks anything like the new Tesla models. They have a very thick flat line, the Taycan is much more subtle and curved.

I’m surprised you guys read this TSB and found out about the Porsche-lit taillight. For me, I didn’t see much information.

Would be curious if someone manages to "Steal" the programming only for the coming home & leaving home animations.

That I would like, but i don't want the logo... and I am definitely not willing to drop thousands for it when the chinese sell the same thing at a fraction of the cost.

Was definitely disappointed that the animations that the kept teasing were not present when my car was delivered...

I purchased mine on eBay. There have been a few folks here who have retrofitted it.
