Hi - had the car a few weeks now. It’s a J1.2 CT4S and I love it. We’re with Octopus but unfortunately it says I can’t use Intelligent Octopus with my car and a Pod Point charger. So I am now on Octopus Go (cheaper rates between 00:30 and 05:3). With the new software on the app there is no “profile” or “timer” options only a screen on for Charging with “overview” which is as you expect and “departure”. In the ”departure screen” I can set preferred charging times. All good so far.

The issue is that even though I know there is plenty of time to get to my target charge, as soon as I plug in the car goes to white (initialising) green (I guess to check for power) then into a charging pause and then back to initialising. The whole process keeps repeating. I occasionally get an error message just saying that there is not enough power to hit the desired charge. I know that there is.

When I set the app to tell the car to do direct charging, it all works fine and the car charges at 6.9kw. It’s almost like the Pod Point first sends a tiny charge to the car which causes the car to panic and which causes the process to cycle.

I know this is incredibly long winded but anyone with experience with the Pod Point particularly with a J1.2 do let me know.

The alternative is to put the car on direct charge in the Porsche app and then use the Pod Point app to only allow the Pod Point to send charge in a specific window. That seems to work but I would rather just use the Porsche app.

I have researched the forum and elsewhere but can’t find an answer to this yet……
