PCP makes no sense to me. I don’t think putting £25k deposit down then paying £495 / month for 4 years to then not own anything at the end unless I then pay £23k makes sense.

Is your HP only £495/m with a £25K deposit? You'll have a car at the end of it, but it's value is questionable given battery age, recent trends in EV pricing and the amount of used Taycans specifically available second hand. Appreciate it is a personal option and choice to own, HP or "rent" the vehicle and whatever suits you best. You also don't have to put £25K in upfront on PCP - appreciate the more you contribute the less the monthlies are.

Hi
No, at £25k it’s £905 a month over 4 years.
Id want to put £35/40k down and pay £545 over 5 years.

Regardless of how you finance to own or use, that is personal and financial choices for you. The car is awesome! Hope you agree should you go ahead...

I did the same thing and don’t know what should have done it sooner!! Came out of a RR sport was unsure if I had done the right thing 1st EV etc.

The minute I drove from the dealership I knew I had done the right thing. 4S CT 21 plate few extras and the car is amazing, the whole driving experience is another level.

My advice is do it, yes it could have a few issues but so could a brand new one!

ENJOY IT

Yeah, you will definitely enjoy your car. I would recommend buying the extended warranty when the originally warranty is up. My Taycan is 3yrs old now with 40k on the clock. I took mine out on a 4yr PCP. My Porche dealer valued it last month a figure lower than the final payment will be next year.

Now is a good time to buy a second hand EV as prices are low.

My wife has just bought fully spec'd Jagiar iPace with very low milage for less than half it's original value with 2yr Jaguar warranty.

Finance is very much a personal thing.

Ive done PCP for my past few cars. Never seen out the full terms. Always sold after 2-3 years.

The GVF protects you from spending years paying for a car that has mass depreciation.

Used Taycans are so cheap now for what they are.

18 months ago they were selling way over list.
This is how I see it currently...

Sale! Sale! Sale!
Buy now while stocks last!!

Only thing (as others said) extend the manufacturer's warranty.

Note: We are just buying the wife a nearly new BMW hybrid at a bargain price also.

Im on the verge of taking the plunge and buying a 21 plate over 60 months meaning the car will be 7/8 years old at the end of the HP deal. Am I being incredibly stupid? Will there even be a market for one that old almost at the end of its battery warranty?
I purchased a 2021 Turbo S ,20 months ago. Currently been off the road waiting for battery repair for over 6 months. I am told they are waiting for the one and only jig in the UK available to do the repair.
My advice is do not touch a Taycan that is anywhere near the end of Battery warranty.
