I'm a month into owning my Taycan and am now planning for front and rear dashcams.
I am partial to Blackvues and have installed them in my other cars, just never with a battery.

I have found great insight and help from these posts:

@Pivotaltrader
Blackvue DR900X-2CH + Blackvue B-124X battery

@PDACPA
Blackvue DR900X-2CH Plus

I am now considering installing the DR970X-2CH dashcam, possibly with the B-130X battery.
I would like to record during parking (usually no more than 24hr). Supposedly with the battery, parking recording is up to 30 hrs.
I would place the battery in the rear trunk shallow storage compartment.

My questions for this group relate to your experiences and to the need and installation of the Blackvue battery:

1) How long are the DR900X Blackvues recording in parking mode without a battery (before voltage cutoff)?

2) Does anyone regret NOT installing a battery?

3) For those with a battery, did you hardwire it or use the cigarette lighter adapter (CLA)?

4) Does anyone know if any of the open switched fuse (red ACC) slots in the drivers or passenger fuse panels support ~10A draw (to power the hardwired battery) I am eyeing the pass 3rd row 3rd from right open fuse slot that @PDACPA used.

5) Any other concerns about installing a battery? Am I overthinking this?

Thoughts and comments much appreciated.
