Saw a Dakar in for service:

I saw two of those in the same day about six weeks ago. We were picking up my spouse's new Prius after it got transformed into a mermaid (), and OCDetailing had one they were working on. On the way back across the bay, I made a brief stop at Porsche Redwood City, and happened to mention it to one of the receptionists, who said "oh, you mean like that one over there?".

I was in Houston Texas USA recently and visited the Buc-ee's in Katy. This place has about 120 pumps, including several with methanol-free gasoline. Roughly 100 classic supercars, including many Porsches, were making the roughly 3-hour drive from Houston to Austin, and all the cars stopped at Buc'ee's for some of them to fill up with the real gasoline.

I spoke with the owner of this 1959 Porsche 356A:

The lead car was a 1956 Mercedes 300SL gullwing with a Montana license plate:

And there was also a red Ferrari F50 (to celebrate Ferrari's 50th anniversary) worth north of US$4 million. F50s were built from 1995-97 and only 349 of them were made to keep it rarer than Ferrari's F40. Sorry I didn't get a picture of it, but here's an image of one stolen shamelessly from webtimes.uk:

I'm stunned that these cars were actually on the road.

Well who doesn't like a Porsche in GTS spec?
I spotted this very nicely kept classic beauty at the autoroute rest stop today.
They put a 5.4 litre V8 in this version.
If your name was Tom, owning one of these back in 1983 was a 'Risky Business" !
