Without power, you can open the car using the key in the key fob, it will be possible to leave the window up if the car is outside, if not, then leave the window open a little.

With the window up, it will catch slightly at the top, however be gentle and it will open and close without issue.

I would only use a multimeter set to ohms to check a fuse, although sometimes you can shine a bright light through the fuse and see that the link is still in tack and saves time.

Once you have isolated the 12V battery, take the top cover to pieces, there are several big fuses in there.

My multimeter probes have a sharp point that allows you to go both sides of a fuse while it is still in place.

You are better with the 800V battery connected when using PIWIS, but if not, you will need a tender to keep the voltage up. I often saw 30 amps + being pulled with the tender I linked to.

Remember a normal battery charger is no good for PIWIS work.

shun - I wanted to ask you a question here that might seem a little pointless, but after disconnecting the 800v battery from the switch and the 12v battery - the batteries could be reconnected at any time without any problems... correct?

When you reconnect the battery, the car will be the same as before, although one great way to reset the control units is by disconnecting the 12V battery, so as long as it is the earth you use to disconnect, it may be better than before.

I always connected the 12v battery, then the 800V battery, but it should make no difference.

Shun, I am very grateful to you - everything is fine at the moment, as a precaution, as you can see in the photos, I put some tightening straps in case someone simply puts the switch on! In the morning I will start checking the fuses at the back of the trunk and the fuses at the front!!!on the 12 V battery I wrapped a cloth underneath and above the negative pole so as not to make contact with anything around it

As you will find out, it is almost impossible to put the 800V back on by accident.

You need to insert a small screwdriver through the yellow hole to move a tab out of the way.

The red tab can then be pushed towards the rear of the car and pushed down along with the black tab.

but it is no longer disconnected correctly??? that is, if I understood correctly, you advise me to put a small screwdriver in the hole marked in yellow so that no one can return or connect...? Or did you mean that for completely disconnected tech 800 v I have to put small screwdriver in the hole marked put the red clip towards the rear and pull up the black connector and remove it completely from the green one ……is that???

So I have to remove the black tab from the green piece to completely disconnect it???… is that it…??

The 800V is fully disconnected on your car.

You are reading too much into what I said.

?? now I understand, when later it is necessary to reconnect the switch in, I simply have to insert a small screwdriver in the hole marked in yellow by you, push the red and black connector towards and pull down, it is connected again! I apologize for my initial confusion?
yes definitely this way it is not easy for someone to re-enable the high voltage system?

:p I only wish I had someone to tell me all this stuff when I started.

It is not easy to find this stuff out when there was almost no information I could find online.

Shug - I would like to take a moment to express my deep gratitude for all the help you have given me during this process. You have no idea how much your support has meant to me.

I moved to Poland about two months ago for business and professional reasons, as I had some clients around Poland in Europe. Since everything is still very new, it has been a huge challenge. In addition to learning a new language and adapting to a different culture, I am practically starting from scratch here. My wife is Polish, and we lived in Iceland for about 20 years before moving here. Although we have bought a house and are settling in, I still don't know many people, which makes the adjustment process a little more difficult.

With so many changes happening at the same time, having to deal with the car problem was another challenge. I sent the vehicle to the dealership, but unfortunately, they were unable to resolve the problem and left me worried about the situation. Without knowing anyone locally who could help me and without finding much information online, I was really lost.

That's when you stepped in and made all the difference. Thanks to your willingness to share your knowledge and guide me every step of the way, I was able to find a way to resolve this situation. Without your support, I might not have even started trying to fix the car.

I want you to know how much I appreciate your patience, knowledge, and willingness to help. It made a huge difference to me during this challenging time.

If it's not too much to ask, I would really appreciate it if you could continue to help me through this process until I can finally get the car running properly. Having your support has been invaluable to me, and any additional guidance is always greatly appreciated.

Once again, thank you so much for everything! If there's any way I can repay your help in the future, please let me know. I'd be happy to do something in return.?

Carlos,

You are very welcome.

I recently visited Gdansk, I totally loved it, such a beautiful city with lovely people.

There are many clever people in here that I am sure will continue to help you, not just me.

You are about to work on stuff that may be a challenge for all of us, but the PPS manuals should let you find the way if the team in here cannot help.

Either way am sure you will not stick.

Today I contacted the porche center in belgium in brussels where my car was purchased by the previous owner, this was just because it didn't sit well with the fact that the porche center in poland commented that the car had no service history at porche, in fact I didn't want to get the story straight! So I come here to report this situation, which is still worrying

I contacted the Porsche center in Brussels, where I was assisted by Mr. Jean Christophe, Sales Executive. I explained what happened at the Porsche center in Poland, where I was informed that the vehicle had no maintenance history at official Porsche centers. This information surprised me, as I expected transparency about the car's history.

After explaining the situation, Mr. Jean Christophe promptly checked the system and confirmed that the vehicle, in fact, has a maintenance history at Porsche in Brussels. Additionally, he has identified that there are outstanding services that must be completed at no cost to me, even if the vehicle is no longer covered under warranty. These pending services may even be related to the warning lights that appeared on the instrument panel.
And he informed me that the last service done on the car was the high voltage dc/dc converter…..!
However, I was informed that I could not obtain the full service history without permission from the previous owner, which is understandable. To resolve this issue, I was suggested to contact the previous owner to try to obtain this authorization so that they could then give me access to the car's service history.

I would also like to point out that, according to Mr. Jean Christophe, outstanding services can and should be completed at any authorized Porsche center, whether in Belgium, Poland or any other country. Therefore, if the center in Poland refuses to carry out the work, I was suggested to contact another official Porsche representative in Poland and also mentioned that the attitude and procedure of the proche center in Poland is very strange.

Furthermore, Mr Jeab also cannot understand why the Porsche center in Poland did not identify the vehicle's history in the system immediately! And he assured me that any official Porsche center is obliged to complete outstanding services to be carried out at the in the vehicle where the vehicle is currently located, as confirmed by the representative in Brussels.
Otherwise this official porche center refuses again to carry out these unfinished services, they in Brussels will give me guidance on how to proceed to transfer the service to another authorized center, ensuring that the problem is resolved as quickly as possible.

If you register for the Porsche app, you will be required to provide proof of ownership of your car, in the UK that is by providing a copy of the registration document details in your name.

After that there should be no requirement to involve the previous owner.

The screenshot of the Battery service will be available to you in the PPN account when it is approved.

The battery service should have been flagged by the dealer you took your car to, it is also accompanied by a letter to you once Porshe know you are the car owner.

There are several levels of outcome from the battery recall including a software update to the battery management system due in the first 1/4 2025.

The battery check is free, all you have to do is book the car in at the local dealer. Be aware that there are significant delays in getting battery modules replaced since they have toremove the 800V battery to modify it if that is required.
