Taycan Night Vision Camera

Hi.
Has anybody found a solution to replacing the germanium lens to the night vision camera on the front of the Taycan without having to replace the whole unit.
The lens surround unscrews with ease but I’m struggling to find a suitable material that’s available to replace the germanium lens that has smashed. Porsche are quoting £4500 just for the parts and the replacement would then need fitting and calibration.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Dee, interestingly the thread points to a company in the UK called Knight Optical so I’ve messaged them.
The lens cover removes without any issue so it’s crazy that Porsche won’t offer the lens as a replacement item.

I built a diy night vision camera for the front of my Defender 90



after having one on my first Taycan. If you just need the germanium window you should be able to get the correct size from

I've not used Knight Optical but they may be able to supply them.

You need to make sure you get the correct coating. I tried uncoated on my diy camera but you get a yellow dot in the middle. AR /AR coating worked well.

Not cheap though, a 10mm coated windows was £60-£70. The size needed for the Porsche camera will be hundreds. Other option is ebay. I saw a few Audi units for 800-900 GBP when I was working on the project.
