Over the weekend l went camping in Groveland, CA. I packed the ST with the conscience decision to not use the roof box.

Here is the load for 2 adults and 2 kids.
I was able to use all available space and a 2nd vehicle carried the sleeping bags and one duffle bag. Behind the bags in view is a Yeti cooler, a Costco plastic crate, tent and other smaller items. The charging cable bag was repurposed to carry various battery operated pumps and lanterns.

On the way, car averaged 2.8 kw/mi over 174 miles, and 3000 feet of climbing. I also charged at the Rivian Yosemite Charging Outpost (Lounge). The unit was able to hit the Taycan's max speed.

I topped up at EA for a day tour of Yosemite. This station limited speeds to 100kw. Luckily I had time and only needed 8kw or so.

Day 2 driving between Groveland and Yosemite yielded 3.8 kw/mi! This extrapolates to 320 miles of range which the best I've seen. Only snapped one good picture of the car in the park as summer time requires you to park the car and take buses around the park.

Day 3, on the trip home, the car yielded 3.2 kw/mile, running AC and in 90 degree heat. This is equivalent to 268 miles.

This weekend, I made this drive again for camping in Yosemite. Similar to last year, I was able to pack everything except two duffles (carried by friend's car) for 4 people for 2 nights.

The major difference this year is that I have Mission E wheels. Going up, I averaged 2.4 mi/kwh.

Charged at Buck Meadows EA station. Only maxed at 176 kw.

Day #2 touring the park. The major news for EV owners is that the Rivian Waypoints at the lodge and visitor center is free! I didn't find out until my last hour in the park.

Day 3, return trip. I got 3.8 mi/kwh! This is the best efficiency I've ever driven. The car returned 4.1 mi/kwh up to the bridge.
