Curious about this too. I only had a little seat time in a sedan before I got my CT.
I think the OP is interested because the sedan and CT are different, comparing the sport turismo to sedan would be a moot point here.
Any more details about the loose bolt? I’ve got a rattle/clunk that is coming from under the trunk floor area that still needs to be tracked down and fixed. I’m suspecting something was not properly fastened and this might provide a hint.
More related to this thread, I’m considering purchasing...
This is way better than the OEM rack, coming from someone with an OEM rack. I might just sell mine and make one of these instead.
Looks nice with the anodize on there too!
Have any of the folks posting that this is nuts ever actually diagnosed a car that’s intermittently failing? A short test drive around the block often doesn’t reproduce customer stated failure modes. Many failures occur under normal driving circumstances, which for most people is driving around...
My photo above is 29x2.5” - it looks like any tire should fit, even a 4+” as the straps are super long. The tire being wider than the channel doesn’t appear to be an issue at all.
It fits inside the trunk with the seats either up or down, and also with plenty of clearance under the tray. It’s heavy and awkward to load/unload though.
The sedan doesn’t have a removable cover on the left side unfortunately. Wagon only! This is actually what locked in my decision to not get the sedan after inspecting at the dealer.
Looks great on that color! Did you spec parking assist? I noticed you’ve got ultrasonic sensors in front of your front wheels.
I’m just going to bite the bullet and trade mine for a GTS ST when I can get an allocation, I’ve got similar wants to you.
A bump stop does not have to be short and hard. For example, the early Tesla model s (along with some generations of F1 cars) use the bump stops at normal ride height. The ramp up that you’re feeling is certainly the bump stops and not the air spring ramp up. Air springs generally ramp up...
man, after dropping mine around 10mm I noticed it bottoming out over big dips super frequently here in the Bay Area. I ended up reinstalling the OEM links after 2k miles as it was so frustrating- not sure how you’re dealing!
Just picked mine up as well and man you’re not kidding, this thing is way bigger and heavier than it needs to be! Still glad to have a bike rack though!
It’s 3D printed from another thread here on the forum. I’ve since ditched it as my knee kept knocking the phone off.
instead I installed a screen protector and double stick taped the iPhone mount to the screen edge with a 3/4” spacer that I had lying around. Works great.
Looks familiar! This is my other EV and I did the same coming out of some fake tailpipes. The 1up is the way to go, I used the Thule ones simply because they have built in frame locking though.
What did you use to make the locking pins?
