For me the Taycan is a driver’s EV. A Tesla is a techy’s EV. Get the Taycan if you like to drive your car. Buy the Tesla if you want the car to drive (somewhat) for you.

To be honest, I wanted an EV sports car. That is what I got and it drives like a Porsche. Longer range is just a bonus.

Well, since I just picked it up yesterday, I have no long trips to reference.

Certain Teslas may be faster in a straight line, but give me the car that handles superbly and looks like a Porsche on the interior. Not a fan of the Tesla’s interior, any Tesla.

As others have already stated, unless you are prepared to buy, be careful test driving one. You will be hooked.
