New Rival: AMG GT - 4 Door Coupe - 1169hp

Specs don't matter when the car is that ugly. They need to stop hiring BMW designers and start making cars elegant again.

Custom made no-drill side front plate mount (3D print)

I know it's completely subjective, but imho putting the plate on the side ruins the aesthetic even more than the stock location! It just looks awkward.

Tyres – never had this issue before on any car …

It's not just Sports Plus, but any mode that lowers the car, such as Range Mode.

Just moved - now my commute is MUCH MORE trafficky - what SHOULD this do to my range?

As a side note, if you just got a new battery, it'll take 500 miles or so for it to learn your current driving habits, which will make the range guesstimation more accurate.

    Mo0difying a 2023 4S to a 2025+ Turbo GT

This feels like when BMW owners up badge their standard car with an M badge, but more costly.

    Extended warranty or not?

In the UK it costs roughly £3k for 3 years direct from Porsche. It's a no-brainer really, if you have any issue whatsoever it'll cost more than £1k to fix on these cars.

    4S vs GTS

It's hard to put into words exactly, but the GTS is better than it's sum of parts. I've driven every iteration of the Taycan (except the Turbo GT), and it just "feels" nicer / special to drive, even though it's not the fastest trim level. Having said that, I'm in the UK surrounded by twisty...

"Porsche’s EV Gamble: The Taycan Depreciation Crisis - Explained" - video

Panamera, Macan and Cayenne would like to have a word..! The only Porsche that truly keep their value are the very rare / limited edition ones, such as Speedsters, Dakar, S/T.etc Regular 911's hold their value okay, but you'll still take a hit if bought new. I'm not sure on modern Boxsters /...

    Wheel alignment

The inside tyre wear is a known thing with Porsche, it's how they set up their camber. I'd look for an independent Porsche specialist, should cost around £150 - £180 for a 4-wheel alignment.

What do you want from the next gen Taycan?

Is that where all the best local dogging spots appear on the satnav?

Scraped my wheel…can this be fixed?

That sounds like the cost for a full wheel re-powder coat job? (correct me if I'm wrong) Not sure that's needed for just a bit of curb rash.

Scraped my wheel…can this be fixed?

I don't know about American prices, but here in the UK I'm almost certain that could be fixed as a "smart repair", which would be in the region of £50 - £60. (Edit - my prices were slightly out)

Piwi diagnostic program for Porche Taykan

I agree, looks like burning damage, probably from a short somewhere, and some kind of corrosion due to moisture, which might have caused the short! Do the flex cables have any numbers on them that you can look up? I suspect through Porsche might be the only option, which might be tricky for such...

Piwi diagnostic program for Porche Taykan

I would be concerned as to what is causing those burn marks / melting on the flex cable. I wonder if there's a short somewhere? I'd look at replacing the flex cables, especially the one with the tear, as they can be quite delicate.

I was planning on installing a Tesla charger, but unfortunately it would only work on the far right... Just kidding, I'll get my coat! :)

    Would you buy again ?

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra looks much better than the standard saloon SU7, which is an awkward mishmash of design. So far, impressions of the SU7 have been pretty good, I'm just not sure I'd spend 6 figures to drive a car with a phone brand on the bonnet.
