Yes, I had the same issue in the floorboard area for the driver. I noticed it every time I entered and exited the car. Pressing down on the floor with my weight would cause a popping sound, which was audible both inside and outside the car. Turns out, it’s actually a known issue and Porsche...
I’ve got a TS CT with everything wrapped including the wheel arches. The turbo s is the only one with the gloss black arches, which makes them easy to wrap. Mine are wrapped in clear Xpel ultimate 10, but it would be easy to apply satin if you wanted. My arches were not removed and they look great!
I’ve got a CT and had the entire car including pano roof wrapped in Xpel ultimate plus 10. Nothing was removed during install and everything looks great. Followed that up with a ceramic coating to repel dirt from collecting anywhere including seams.
First, welcome to the forum! Unfortunately, I’ve not found a solution for this error message. I also asked my local dealership and they checked with their Taycan tech but hadn’t seen that error and didn’t know how to help. However, despite the error, it charges my car without any issue. So I’m...
I wish you had been shown the differences between auto/on/off recuperation modes on your test drives. Since this is important to you, I recommend going back and checking out this feature. Others in this thread have also noted the different settings. I like driving in auto recuperation: When I...
Hey buddy—I’ve read this concern in some of your other posts about a missing “Hold” function. I want to be very clear and put this to rest as it seems you’ve misunderstood how the Taycan actually works. Your concern about wearing down brake pads due to having to continuously hold the brake is...
Yes, you’ve installed the standard Porsche Mobile Charger + (PMC+) inside a cabinet designed for the upgraded Porsche Mobile Charger Connect (PMCC), which has the fancy touchscreen. The PMCC is larger and would fit flush inside your cabinet (which is version 3). You’ve got 3 options:
1. Leave...
I give Porsche credit for offering the Taycan in so many colors… they are all so beautiful! Green is my favorite color, so had to go with mamba! It’s captivating and dynamic—you cannot take your eyes off it! Even in full sun, the hue changes around the curves of the car as you see below.
They didn’t remove plastic trim pieces, as far as I know. Edges that could be wrapped were, otherwise the PPF was cut very close to the edge. They also wrapped all the black gloss areas (roof rails, wheel arches, window surrounds, and the rear black pieces above the rear window) and covered the...
Finally picked up my long-awaited ‘22 Mamba CT last weekend after proper PPF/ceramic/tint and clear side marker swap! Took it for a tour around Phoenix to get some pictures to share. This is my 1st Porsche, 1st EV, 1st non-achromatic color, and 1st 4-door car. Ha. Really excited to have...
First off, great profile name…
Yes, you can have a clean install look with the power supply cable (outlet) hidden behind the actual cabinet on the wall. See a pic of my PWCC below.
The PWCC is Porsche’s newest and fastest EVSE at 80amp. (80A x 240V = 19.2kW max). According to US electrical...
I looked at both Suncoast and Porsche online store websites and specific dimensions are not given for either PMC+ or PMCC, however, for the cabinet I’m selling, it specifically says it’s for the optional PMCC (which has the touchscreen).
This is actually just the cabinet to house your EVSE (PMCC). There are no electrical components included—it’s just a way to neatly store and use your PMCC.
I’ve also got a Porsche charger cabinet/dock for sale. This fits the PMCC and is new in box, unopened, from Germany. Last summer when I ordered my car, I added this option for $470. Since that time, Porsche came out with the newer wall charger that already comes with the cabinet, so I have no...
