So I have been looking into getting a Taycan for a while - mostly waiting for MY25 because of improvements in efficiency and range. I also really want a CT for the cargo space and also I like wagon style personally.
one day I was just searching and looking around on the internet and happened to search for Taycan for sale. And of course Google knows what I want, and shows there was an incoming 4 CT in Neptune Blue at my local dealer. And CTs are really rare here in the states. Really don’t know why. Seems like most people still prefer sedans. So hard to find a CT. I got very excited. So I left them a message, and arranged a meeting with them. (Yes definitely an irrational purchase ?)
they don’t have any CT to test drive, or any 2025 yet in their shop. But I drove a 2024 Taycan and loved the ride quality. Roads here in New England, especially Boston, are so bad. I felt I was being punished every time I drove my 911 into the city. Surprisingly Taycan doesn’t feel a big car or heavy car most of the time. And I asked them if there’s any way I could try to see if I can put my bike in the car without taking front wheel off. They said their general manager has a personal CT car I could try fitting my bike in. So next day I took my bike in their shop and it fit!!
so I paid the deposit $3000 to reserve the car. The sales person told me there were several potential buyers who approaches him asking about this one after I paid the deposit.
Then I received the notification to keep track of the car. It already finished production by the time I reserved, and I actually discovered the ship it was on from port call logs at Emden Germany. So I tracked the boat every day to see where it was LOL the anticipation was killing me hahhahaa especially after it was delivered at the port here in Rhode Island.
Finally the pick up date was set. Everything went smoothly. Took out to Costco right away
enjoyed it so far, always wanted to drive it more and more!
