They don’t, just porsche artificial restriction.
You can put them on iron discs no problem

Not sure, but I can confirm this was the limitations on the j1.1 configurator too. I asked this question before and never got a clear answer

Great deal. I fitted my J1 with mission E wheels, on iron discs and red calipers. Looks great, still have the original turbo aeros laying around.

There will also be freight shipping, depending on where you live. I bought an expired set like this from suncoast a while back, $2K IIRC but the tires were disabled (holes drilled in sides), then put a set of winter tires I already had from driving my car home from the dealer (I picked it up mid February).

Yes, they drill holes in the sidewalls with a hole saw. Tires are too old.

Nope, wheels are new. Tires are 2022 tires so 4 years old. Older sets that have sold in the past had tires that were 6-7+ years old, those get the tires drilled.

So dealership preinstall winter wheel and tire packages. These are left over stock and bc tires are about to expire (per Porsche standards), they're selling at close out prices. I'm guessing they don't want to incur cost to uninstall tires and sell only the wheels.
