Thanks, the service voucher will pay my deductible ?
Sounds like a sweet deal. $600 is maximum. However, I am sure the owners now will have to expect a healthy bump in insurance premiums to cover the $51K+ repair.

Urgh - called the insurance company as I saw the supplement approved at $0 - turns out the dealership sent over a duplicate supplement ??‍♂?
So now there back to working with the insurance company again to get the additional supplement approved.
I'm not sure if this is incompetency right now, but I'm beginning to think it is

On another note - I did email my PCNA CSR and ask if there was any goodwill they were willing to extend due the length of time the car has been in the shop - they've actually had it longer than I've owned it at this point

Oh, and on the piece of a Tech taking my car home overnight, this is the PCNA response on it:

Thank you for your email, and I hope you are doing well. While PCNA has many high standards to which our independently operated dealers adhere, I don’t believe there is a specific written policy addressing this particular matter. PCNA understands that there are times when Porsche Center members may need to drive vehicles home to replicate and address concerns that require extended time or additional miles, which cannot be completed during regular work hours.

If this situation arises, it’s important that the Porsche Center and the customer reach a mutual agreement before the vehicle is taken home overnight. This ensures transparency and confirms that both parties are aware of and comfortable with the arrangement.

Yup - no agreement, I didn't even know!!

Everyone feel free to point at me and laugh, but I encourage the dealership to drive my Taycan as much as possible when it’s in for service. I even told them to feel free to offer test drives to customers. My thought process is, the more issues they uncover while it’s under warranty, the better! Also, Porsches are not intended to be pristinely preserved virgin garage queens.

Who at PCNA writes such drivel?

EG 'If this situation arises'. It has arisen. So what are you going to do about it? I see, dump it back on your dealer and the customer. Let them sort it.

So this is their definition of high standards?

What an utter waste of time PCNA has been in this case.

This will technically be an EX (exchange) battery that means to me a rebuilt one. @Maelstrom has the OBD to capture some battery data and share with us. This would be very interesting data to compare to original batteries, specifically SoH and consistency across cells in particular. My SoH when new was 99.95% but after 9k miles 91% with rebalance bumping this up to 92% with next measurement at 10k miles.

On the recalls front as I have the same dealer and I asked when these can be performed:

Aug 12, 2024: ARB0 - Brake Lines parts are not available. I have PSCBs.
Jan 22, 2023: APB6 - 240V NEMA Power Cable parts and required charger firmware are not available. The letter is dated Jan 22, 2023 and not 2024. I did apply for reimbursement by e-mail, submitting original home charger receipt purchase from a year ago, for a service voucher and got the voucher by e-mail next day. I do not use any charging equipment that came with the car in the bag, so this means I got my home charger Emporia $399 + tax paid for.
Is that really how a new battery cost works? They can give you a used one?

Well, this happened today, nice to have her back

Not sure what happened but the additional $5k supplement ended up being $500 instead, which was just to cover the shiiping of the HV tray ??
Definitely glad to have my car back but this whole experience has been quite the story and one I don't want anyone else to have
Oh, I did make the dealership take through the UVEye system before I took the keys back ?
Porsche Taycan Underbody Protection Panel damaged. Batteries and coolant lines need inspection. $72.5K replacement & labor cost. Dealership is Tom Wood in Indiana 57E1D917-6A8F-4D9D-A1E7-74A77B3E9396_1_102_o
