Android Auto

Hey all,
I recently bought a 2021 Taycan Turbo S and am an android phone user.
I have read conflicting messages about whether Android Auto is compatible with pre 2022 Taycans.
If it is, can someone please explain the best way to connect?

I use Android Auto with a 2020 Taycan, wirelessly; it works just fine.

Do you have an Android Auto tile on your homepage in your Taycan?

Yes - both CarPlay and Android Auto tiles are there; there's also a column in Devices, and when connected, an icon in the shortcuts area of the lower center screen.

When I click on software update, it says searching for update and then tells me that I am fully updated.

Your PCM is missing the largest software update called "uPdate" - coloured icons and tiles.

How did you miss out on this?

AA will be resolved once you've upgraded.

Takes a full day.

Released last year.

Suspicious to me that you don't have it and would question the provenance of the car.

Why do you say that? I bought from a Mercedes garage in France who had just purchased from a regular wealthy client who had barely used it.

It was a global recall by Porsche to bring all MY20 - MY22 cars up to MY23 software spec A franchised dealer would not have been permitted to sell it without this upgrade.

Go back to the seller and make some noise.
