First time post.

Helo Everyone,

I'm sure here is someone like me who post this kinda request every week!

But I've been dreaming of a Taycan for so long that I think I do really need to Just go for it raid the savings and Pull the trigger.

I'm Looking at the Taycan Turbo S mainly as I want the Typical extras that you see on this spec. (rear stering, sport cronos, nice wheels)

I think I know the sensible answer to this but if spec is virtually similar.

37K for a CAT S repaired Taycan vs 47K Clean title car.

All the Advice seems to be pointing towards a Warranty covered Car & Battery.
Are there any owners out there living day to day with a Taycan that is out of warranty????

Any advice would be greatly appriciated as there is only so much ChatGPT can tell me.
I would really appriciate real human feedback on this potentially big purchase for me. (First electric Car also)

Thank you

These cars can be hard work to own so most on here would advise never to own one without a warranty. Even a small issue can cost thousands. Porsche are also quick to absolve themselves of responsibility if they think the battery has been damaged rather than has broken.

personally I would only ever go for the clean option

Ditto as above totally and CAT S has insurance implications as well from what I understand and if you have a home charger on a low overnight tariff then good value for what is a fantastic everyday fun machine.

From my own experience my advice is: steer well clear of a Cat-S Taycan!...

1) I had a Cat-S Panamera a few years ago: good car but turned out to have far more damage than the seller admitted to. The big problem was trying to sell it: dealers won't touch Cat-S for trade-ins, auctions aren't interested unless you're in the trade and private buyers are very wary. I had to sell mine privately for a tiny amount just to move it on.

2) As well documented in many threads on this forum a warranty is essential as repairs are VERY costly - with no warranty be prepared to walk away from a catastrophic failure with NOTHING. Porsche will not provide a warranty for a Cat-S, and I doubt any third party warranty/insurance companies will, either.
