MY2021 has been charging beyond the set minimum. For example, I set it to charge to 40%, but it will charge to 44%. If I leave it overnight or park it for more than 2 hours after driving, the state of charge will drop back as it deducts the 4-5%.

-battery temp. after charge(29°)

How do you set the charge minimum/maximum? When I charge from now on in my garage, I'd like it to charge onky up to the now-recommended level of 80%. Actually, I had earlier thought that charging to 100% was actually less than "true" 100% by virtue of the battery/charger 'smarts' not to go to full charge. Your help/comments?

I've noticed mine at 1-2% over, but I attributed that to temperature changes and didn't think much of it.

How come you are limiting charging to 40%?

Same here..If I charge on a cool evening, the state of charge is up a % or two when things warm up the next day

Which is the normal chemical reaction.
Other way round: if you leave the car over-night in freezing temps with 5 %, you might find it the next morning with 1-2 %.

You need to set up a profile with the desired percentage.
No further timer is set.
Than your car will charge up to the percentage set in the profile.

I have mine set to 80%. One day I came in and it was at 100%. I definitely had the 80% profile on it and my only other profile is 95%, so that one was strange to me.

Lately, only when I set it to 40%, it goes over by 5%. However, at other states of charge, it doesn’t seem to charge beyond the set point as much. The strange thing is that sometimes, overnight, it deducts the extra 4%, and other times it doesn’t. It seems like the balancing is off.

My post isn’t about how to set up charging, but rather asking if anyone’s car or charger charges past the set minimum. If this has been discussed before, please link me to it, as I would like to know more. I’m very well aware of how to set up charging for my car using the profile and timer.

With a profile and timer you will never overcharge is my point.
