I'm putting together an order for winter wheels and tires and I just realized that the tires I'd be getting are not run flats. Should I just get one of those foam tire repair kits? I don't know much about tires, I think I've heard that the repair kits ruin the tires or the TMPS sensors or something...

You can order the Porsche tyre kit if you like. I didn't due to damage of tyre when using, but its an option. It fits into the frunk on the right hand side. You'll see it in the configurator under wheel accessories.

So if you get a flat - do you call Porsche roadside assistance?

The tyre fixing kit, ruins the tyre, so no repair is possible after use. If I get a flat, I’ll be calling Porsche assistance.

I never used the porsche tyre fixing kit on my other cars (fortunately). I've ordered it again, but wondering if there is any reason why you wouldn't just use a can of tyre weld or similar to inflate and 'fix' rather than the porsche one? That stuff doesn't ruin the tyre.

Using the porsche goop and compressor also seems a lot of faffing around at roadside too.
