I ordered the RedShift Secondary ECU. I also ordered Draggy so I can measure my performance before and after.

I opted for:
Speed Limiter Removal
Unfiltered Throttle response in SPORT mode only. NORMAL mode is going to remain stock.

I didnt opt for the Recuperation Increase. I like how the default regen works and feels. I am not really looking for one pedal driving.

I will let you know how it goes once I get everything installed.
Sounds like you can tie the ECU Tune to drive modes, which is great.

What you opted for is smart. Although if it was me i’d probably at least enable LC power in Normal mode and leave everything else stock. (And do exactly what you did for the Sport mode).
The benefit of what you have done is from detectability perspective (eg when you take it to the dealer it is nice to have the default mode completely stock in case they do a test drive etc).

Best of luck and look forward to your review. I am thinking of doing the same, i reached out to them through their website but no one got back to me…

I emailed him directly at: [email protected] and got a very fast response.

I am going to have the original ECU to swap back in if I ever need to go to dealer. I am going to keep it in the car in the frunk and the tool to put it back in, in case I break down, I can do the swap on the spot before I need a tow or whatever.

You do have the option to leave NORMAL mode completely stock. Each mode can be programmed. Fingers crossed it was all worth it. :)

so can you make those changes yourself (can you connect to it via bluetooth etc?) or are they something which has to be specifically coded by redshift before posting?

I have been logging some runs in stock mode first and recording them with DRAGY. I received the REDSHIFT unit and will be installing it this week. Then I will run more tests and compare. For your reference, right now I am getting these values in stock mode:

0-60: 4.96seconds
1/8mi: [email protected]
1/4mi: [email protected]

Been trying to get these numbers down but I am on a public street so I have to be careful. Thats why you see me hitting the brake once I pass the 1/4 mi.

Stay tuned....

REDSHIFT ships you a whole new ECU. That way your original stock ECU is untouched and can be put back into the car. The new ECU just plugs in and you are good to go.

You do need an OBD2 dongle with Bluetooth and scanner app to get the values from the stock ECU to send to REDSHIFT and they use them to code up your new ECU, which they send you.

The response I got from RedShift

Your car from the factory can make about 402 hp in overboost for a few seconds (~2.5s) during launch control.
With our upgrade you can expect a 20% increase in peak power performance and that will be available at all times and not just during launch control.

Thanks! Great news, it is going to be interesting to see the results with the tuned ECU.
If you can display the data in metrics as well (0-100 km/h) please post. If not, it is fine. 0-60mph improvements will give us an idea anyway.
Official data for 0-100km/h is 5.4 s and for 0-60mph is 5.1s. So to roughly estimate 0-100 km/h, we can always remove 0.3 s from your 0-60mph results.

I've been running it on my 2022 RWD PB+ for some time now. No regrets, and I'd hate to go back to stock. This is what the RWD Taycan from the factory should of came with. I've had zero issues.

thanks I get that , but what you wrote didn't address my actual question. there was talk about mapping certain things to specific drive modes and I wanted to know if that is something which redshift have to program initially or if these are able to be tweaked via obd2 or via their own Bluetooth if they come with it.

It's just a normal ecu. You can't make changes afterwards unless they reprogram it again. So everything is fixed once they have programmed it.

Nothing official...i estimate around 600hp on 100% SoC. Highest recorded is ~570hp on 80% SoC via OBD2. Admittedly numbers like 0-60 mean nothing to me. Id compare it to a first gen GTS.

If you have OBD and CarScanner, would you mind capturing the acceleration for the 0-100kph or 0-60 mph?
It is straightforward. Same as you btw 0-60 is not the most important thing for me either but it is an indicator of the potential real gain when tuned.

The only reason why I have haven't done it yet Is it because I don't charge to 100% due to the recall. I also don't drive it much, my 2022 has 11k miles on it, I bought it new. I'll get around to it one day
