The only reason why I have haven't done it yet Is it because I don't charge to 100% due to the recall. I also don't drive it much, my 2022 has 11k miles on it, I bought it new. I'll get around to it one day
Did you also take the recuperation increase and unfiltered throttle response?

so is that 5second 0-

thanks I get that , but what you wrote didn't address my actual question. there was talk about mapping certain things to specific drive modes and I wanted to know if that is something which redshift have to program initially or if these are able to be tweaked via obd2 or via their own Bluetooth if they come with it.
REDSHIFT programs that for you. You can not change it once you receive your unit. When you order the ECU you specify to them HOW you want it to operate. For example, mine is total stock in NORMAL mode, and fully modified in SPORT mode.

Do you mind reporting two things when you have a moment?

1- What is the reading on your dash Max-G meter, for your forward acceleration? (The max I saw on my stock RWD PB+ is 0.63G) - This should be very easy to check, I'd be very interested in the result.
2- Next time you plug your OBD can you simply check the max Actual Torque you get when you slam the accelerator?

I think these two alone would be very interesting to hear for many of us here.

Probably it is going to be a bad news, given the enlightening discussion that we had in another thread.

Unfortunately there is a very good chance that there will 0 difference between tuned vs not tuned for RWD. The tuned ECU will just allows you to get LC numbers all the time.
False, it's a very noticeable difference.... I'm pretty busy but I'll try this weekend to get some stats (weather permitting & no promises).

Id say this too. If you have a RWD and looking for it to feel like it should've come from the factory then the tune is perfect and you should just get it, the itch won't go away. If you're expecting something absolutely insane like a turbo S then I'd sale the RWD and get a higher trim. I honestly can't see myself ever driving the car with the stock ECU installed ever again. A year ago I was asking for numbers with little to no info so I just did it and I'm very satisfied with it. It definitely feels much faster than the 4S I've driven. I've never driven a GTS to compare.

I'm pretty sure these are very similar tunes if not the same. If this Taycan 4 is claim to be pushing 640hp then I believe at 100% SoT ~575-600hp give or take is very realistic for the RWD. Either way in my opinion it's still an impressive gain. (This tune claims 600hp for RWD).

Taycan 4 CT has 2 motors so it is not comparable at all to the RWD. Based on the explanation from the other thread the Taycan 4 can get a substantial power and torque upgrade through ECU tuning.
Maybe the feeling you are having is simply related to the fact that you are getting 476 PS all the time vs 380 PS? So yes the car is way more powerful in the day today since you are getting power that you normally get only when LC is enabled.
That has been the best is to just to measure ? ManuiPunter has even a draggy and will be able to compare before and after tuning

I don't know...at the end of the day I'm a satisfied customer so the numbers don't really matter to me. However, it is frustrating not knowing exactly how much power it's putting out. Maybe we'll never know and I'm okay with that.

Maybe there is a way for you to know. You can measure both power (in kw and you can convert to PS) and torque outputs using CarScanner with OBD

It is very easy to check this with a OBD tool and car-scanner app. Car scanner simply tells you the actual torque at any point in time and better yet the “available torque”, which is 340nm and goes up to 360nm as soon as Launch control is enabled, in a Stock Base Taycan with PB+. If Redshift claim is correct, car scanner should show you “available torque”of at least around 415-420nm with the Tune.

Based on your description i do think this is the case and Red Shift materially bumps up the torque for RWD. LC power alone would not give you much change in low speed responsiveness given power gains without the torque bump only come at higher RPM.

The claims of a “hard torque ceiling”, driven by inverter limitations, shared by that new member seem to be based on his work on a Taycan Turbo/S. He seems to be extrapolating his findings to RWD.

Would be great if you could find 15 minutes to plug your OBD and check the “available torque” on car scanner app. (You don’t even have to drive the car for that).

Once I do my swap I will check that value. I am still working on getting the best baseline data I can for my stock Taycan using Dragy.

I just loaded up CarScanner and I could not find where "available torque" is listed. Do I need to drive the car to record values? I wanted to validate the stock setting.

Yep, driving with full throttle with the numbers (voltage, current and ev battery power) on your screen while data recording enabled.
