How are you doing it? As I thing I have done all that is allowed and unfortunately the effect is not ok.Yes, and when I set it up it on the Apple Maps side, Maps asked me if I wanted to share my vehicle data with the app and I said yes. Looks like everything is controlled through Maps (sharing) instead of the Porsche app.
Make sure you've followed the instructions here to get to the "Apple Maps Ev Routing" section of the "Functions" menu.I dont have such menu in My Porsche
Correct. Though when navigating I do very regularly get messages saying “Maps has not received battery information from your vehicle”, which only started recently. Not sure if that’s related to the My Porsche app having the new toggle, or if it’s some other new bug, or if Apple is finally calling out a longstanding Porsche bug.So you have the Apple map EV routing working even if you are not able to toggle the option I mentioned?
I get the same msg time to time, but few mins after that battery is updated in the apple mapsCorrect. It would make sense that you will need connect to give the info to Apple mapsSomeone from Europe, w/o Porsche connect subscription being able to access this?
Porsche connect is the subscription. Once in the car apple car play communicates with the vehicle, so in theory it is not needed, could be just a gimmick to make people pay for the nonsense subscription price. It would make sense that you will need connect to give the info to Apple maps
If that were true, then Porsche wouldn’t be able to sell the subscription. I agree on your theory, however I have connect and it works, and yours isn’t, yet. If you get it to work then you will prove your theory, however, I bet Porsche didn’t make it that easy. Let’s face it, it’s a miracle when connect actually works!Porsche connect is the subscription. why do I think it is possible - from carplay you can control climate, radio, you see consumption etc. via My Porsche Car play app.
