Not sure if I'm just not looking at the right places, I don't see people really talking about the ARB6 recall. Apparently it's ready now. I dropped off the car today, and got a 911 convertible as a loaner so no complaints from me!

Anyone else got the notice and started the process?

Sounds like step 1 is to install the monitoring software. My neighbor said after that, they detected battery module faults so he had to return to the service center again, and it will take weeks apparently.

Lol, you're probably right.
I looked a bit more, I guess I needed to look at the end of some older posts where people are commenting. Not a lot of new posts, unless I'm just blind lol.

Yeah, probably at the end of older posts. The ARB6 update has been rolling out OTA for over a month now at least. My update appeared about a week or two ago and installed without issue.

I received this letter dated July 30th. When I asked my service advisor about it, she said ARB6 was installed back in September 2024, so it appears the remedy was available back then too?

ARB6 had 2 parts. First from around April, dealer battery checks. Second, from around late June, the OTA release of battery monitoring software to detect defective modules.
If you’re unable to receive OTA updates a dealer will install this.

How do you know if you’re unable to receive ota updates? I haven’t seen the update pop up yet…

also, the letter I got last year talked about WRS0, not ARB6. When I search for these it’s clear they are related or even the same (different regions perhaps?), but I’m not sure how. Can anyone clear that up for me?

The recall using ARB6 and ARB7 campaign designations was first issued on Oct 1, 2024 (NHTSA campaign 24V731000).

There were four other Taycan "high voltage battery may short circuit" recalls originated before that date. If your service advisor insists ARB6 was installed in September, 2024, you need to find a different service advisor.

Me neither but my 2020 car is capable of OTA updates, had one before.

I think WRS0 is the campaign number and ARA4/ARB6/ARB7 are work orders.
Something like that.

This might be a daft question (I'm a new owner!) but is there a way to check what recalls have been done to our cars and which ones may be outstanding? Maybe by VIN number, or something?

Yes, go to the NHTSA website and you put in your vin# to show any outstanding recalls.
