It seems as though 2021 and 2022 Taycans have a lesser battery warranty than other model years.

I was looking for official documentation on the battery warranty today. Upon googling I noticed the first bit of information displayed lists the warranty as 8 years or 80,000 miles. This immediately caught me off guard. I had been reading about the battery warranty being 8 years or 100,000 miles. I check the window sticker and I’ve poked around on the my Porsche app and I couldn’t find any official warranty documentation on my car.

so then I went to the USA Porsche warranty page. I pulled up the warranty pdf for the 2022 Taycan and sure enough it’s listed at 8/80,000. I then pulled up the 2021 warranty pdf and also noticed it’s 8/80,000. I then decided to look at the 2023 pdf. It’s listed at 8/100,000 there. There was only one more to view… so I checked. 2020 listed the warranty as 8/100,000.

is this common knowledge? Because it appears that Porsche decreased the warranty for the 2021 and 2022 model years and then increased it again for 2023. Is there any press release out there where the mileage cap was increased for 2021 or 2022?

I just got my 2022 4S CT. I picked it up with 13k miles. I’m loving it. Amazing car. But I’m just now realizing that I never located any official warranty documents prior to completing the sale. It’s a CPO, which enhances the standard 4/50,000 warranty. But I assume at this point the only battery coverage will be the 8/80,000.

We can't store the battery below [temperature] for over [insert] days? Or expose to temperatures above [temperature] for over [insert] days? Oh no!
