Hi all,

Just coming to the end of my 3 years of inclusive Porsche Connect and, on balance, I’ve not had a great deal of use from the services and, so, don’t see the point in spending £279 on renewal of same. I’ve gone into MyPorsche online to try and cancel them but every time I untick the auto renewal box, it’s ticked again when I go back in. Allegedly I can change this in my services but when clicking that link it simply takes me to a list of the services I have and when I click on the Connect service it’s back to the tick box again! I’ve emailed Porsche GB but wondered if anyone here knew if I were missing anything obvious?

On a similar note I need to ensure that Porsche do not renew my Charging service from the inclusive (and excellent) 3 year one with IONITY at 30p per kWh to either of their rubbish alternatives as I will be chopping over to IONITY passport (even if they’re disappointingly far more expensive per kWh in the UK than the equivalent passport prices in the EU).

Thanks in advance.

Edit your payment method / remove

In My Porsche app follow the link to Manage Subscription (where payment method is) and there is an option to terminate there - Subscription - Porsche Charging Service - scroll down and 'Terminate the Contract' is there. It may currently show a no entry symbol (mine does) but this may change at renewal time.

Thanks Adrian, the charging contract is sorted. Just need to get Porsche to not auto-renew the connect services now!

Again - payment method removal is your key if there isn't an option to cancel at renewal.

Unfortunately not. In my case, it says that the payment method cannot be cancelled until 3 months after the cessation of services without provision of another payment option (this I presume to allow for any laggardly charging bills to arrive). I’ll carry on down the rabbit hole of Porsche “smart” mobility emails and see where we get. Worst case, it’ll be a chargeback against the registered credit card as I’ve told them 3.5 weeks out I don’t wish to avail myself of their services.
