Hi all,
Have a turbo on order ( not done final spec yet ) and are wondering on thoughts of ceramic v coated brakes.
Please share if you have tried both.
Cheers

If you track regularly then ceramic may make sense. If you don't they are an unnecessary extravagance and costly to repair if something goes awry.

Standard Turbo brakes are likely all you need and more.

for the Taycan even for track use PCCB's are un-necessary - the Taycan can't run long enough or hard enough on track to need PCCB's - basically you will run out of battery thermal capacity or actual battery power before you can do enough braking to thermally saturate Porsche's excellent steel brakes…both track days with my Taycan @ Laguna seca I came off track early due to power/battery limitations - not because of any issues with brakes…

also given regen covers 90% (Porsche's claim) of the vehicle's braking, brake dust on the wheel is also reduced given the lack of actual friction brake usage.

if I could order my Taycan again I'd skip the PCCB's - they are 100% un-necessary on a Taycan.

Even the coated brakes are not that useful as 95% of braking on a Taycan is via regen. Use that money and get another option?

I think the coated brakes are standard on turbo so I’ll go with those.
