Ah, not a Taycan post perse, but I thought it would be nice to share my experience of using an electric rental car in the Netherlands.

- It took me some time to install the right app to pay at most (all?) charging points since many of them require either residency in Europe or a European phone number. For me the "tap" app worked great though (using google pay).

- in Europe the "slow" charging stations (11 to 17kw) are super common and very convenient. You bring your own cable so the stations are essentially just outlets with a number that you can use in the app to start charging. Simple and robust against vandalism. These are really great as you can usually park "for free" and your car keeps being charged while you enjoy the city.

- overall it was quite easy -- don't be afraid to rent an electric car :)

NL has huge networks of charging stations. Fastned is very reliable. Ionity will get you most places. You can use your Porsche Charging Service card (which the OP, being a US person, probably didn't have) on many of the NL networks, with a particularly low cost on Ionity.

In Germany there is no need to worry about charging. In cities (even smaller ones) you will find enough small 11/22KW AC chargers. DC Chargers are more Common in bigger cities or near Autobahn. Here IONITY is best, ARAL pulse and ENBW are good. Regarding payment I can‘t give a recommendation, I am using Porsche charging card which is best on IONITY, good on ARAL pulse and also AC charging.
