Hi fellas, I have 2 things on this topic I’m confused about.

1/ my phone randomly sends me this notification almost every time I drive my car. Seems weird. I also wonder if that eats my battery. Does anyone know why?

also 2/ if I set the temperature on my car remotely via the app. It seems like it stays active for 60 minutes. Even after I have parked and left the car. BMW would no longer keep it active after I parked, but Porsche seems to see the time to 60 mins. Am I misunderstanding.

You have climate control set to go for 5 minutes after you leave the car, hence the above notification. As for the 60 minutes, if you set the temperature before you drive the car for even a few seconds, when you put it back in part, it will only go for 5 more minutes, not the remainder of 60m. If If you set the temp via the phone while driving, perhaps the app interprets it as you wanting to pre-condition afterwards, but I've never done that myself - if you want to leave HVAC going after you leave the car, hit the pre-condition button on the battery screen (the lower screen).

Yes, you can deactivate that in the PCM.

There is an option in the PCM to trigger preheat / cool when you unlock and open the driver's door - disable that.

Tried looking in the PCM under vehicle locking systems and cannot locate the trigger you mentioned. Is this option under another menu? Thanks in advance for sharing.

Air Conditioning->Pteheat-> scroll down

Precool/heat with remote unlocking - tick the.box

I've been receiving that message as well, intermittently. I'm also receiving the climate control unavailable message when I try to activate climate control via the app.
