Do Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur items extend production time?

Does spec'ing a car with items from porsche exclusive manufaktur mean its takes longer to build? I only have one item being the body coloured lower part of wing mirrors, but wondered.

I ordered the Racetex b-pillar lower section (which is part of the EM prog) and yes it added about three weeks to my build time (as shown the dealers schedule I saw at the time).

Depends on what it is I think. I specced with extra leather and a couple of other things, but build slot and date did not move.

No they generally don't as they keep a stock. Clever marketing for something that is actually a stock item and certainly not "exclusive".

Door mirror covers are 100% in this category.

Paint to Sample would extend the time.

When i fixed my order I was told matrix lights would have to be removed, Bose stereo would cause several weeks delay and racetex “B” pillar was on hold at that time, so i dropped all three, the exclusive manufacture boot carpet wasn’t mentioned as a delay.
