Surprised to hear that chun! I do not have the insulated glass and still find the car extremely silent!I don't know what roads or tires you guys have in the US, but i can't stand the wind and tire noise only that you guys call "quiet"
I have noise insulated windows and its still unberable. Sport sound on every little drive for me, so I would definitely use this - not the "manual" part, can't be arsed and a PDK is hardly manual.
Do you not listen to music while driving? Even at low volume, I never notice the car sounds.I don't know what roads or tires you guys have in the US, but i can't stand the wind and tire noise only that you guys call "quiet"

Lots of calls & podcasts, and even with music, not loud enough usually (4-6 volume) to cover the wind/tire noise of 130km+Do you not listen to music while driving? Even at low volume, I never notice the car sounds.
We are known for the best roads, we are luckySurprised to hear that chun! I do not have the insulated glass and still find the car extremely silent!
Perhaps at 130km/h+ you should be paying attention to the road rather than your phone call or podcast?Lots of calls & podcasts, and even with music, not loud enough usually (4-6 volume) to cover the wind/tire noise of 130km+
Maybe i am overly sensible to road noise, but for me "e-shift" noise would be a must.
What would be the alternative to a multi ratio gearbox though? As an engineer I have always seen the noise and need for a multi ratio gearbox in a piston engine as a bug not a feature.
Equally, as an engineer I know that well engineered cars often fail to attract many sales...
DAF Varomatic (rubber band car) perhaps.. remember those??What would be the alternative to a multi ratio gearbox though?
I thought CVTs aren't compatible with high torque engines.
I usually don't drive with my ears, and 130km is hardly high enough speed to require such focusPerhaps at 130km/h+ you should be paying attention to the road rather than your phone call or podcast?
