Good afternoon, I need help. I had vinyl wrap installed on my car and now I'm getting these two errors:

1) Airbag malfunction

2) The app only shows an error with the rear right window.

3) Parking lights are off. What does this mean?

I have a question. When it rains and I make a sharp turn, the front wheels make a strange, loud noise, like they're skidding. Is this normal?

Also, I occasionally hear a sound like a turbocharger releasing air. I have the exhaust sound activated and the rear seats folded down, but I don't know if this noise is normal.

Yes you will hear the air suspension on the Sedan with the rear seats folded down, the Sedan is not meant to be driven like that. The CT/ST have a special carbon fiber underlay below the trunk liner to kill the suspension sound, but the Sedan does not have any of that, since with the seats up they block the sound. If you remove it on the CT/ST you also hear all the suspension sounds immediately.

Front wheels - Ackerman Effect - only at low speed manoeuvring more pronounced on a wet surface and cold tyres - normal.

Parking Lights - when the car is powered off and you flick the indicator as if to make a right or left turn this will illuminate the front DRL and rear tail light of either the left or righthand side of the car - useful when parking to illuminate a given side of the car in a poorly lit area. The message therefore is simply saying the lights are off and not illuminated. Most if not all cars have this feature.

Airbag error - possibly a false positive due to the wrap covering a front sensor but get it checked.

Window - learning procedure in the Owner’s Manual.

I have heard this as well and while everyone says it’s normal, the immediate reaction I get from folks who ride with me is “I never hear this in my insert-non-Porsche-brand car”. It sucks. I’m still going to mention it to my dealer when I take it in March for the 2 year service jic it’s something else.

It is the Ackerman Effect (Google it) and is common on most Porsches as mentioned previously.

My Boxster S did it for 12 years from new, Panamera ST the same, 2 x Taycans the same and my 911 does it too.

Never noticed it on my Cayennes or current Macan T.

Damp conditions, cold conditions, low profile tyres and wheel camber all contribute to this effect when low speed manoeuvring.

Appreciate that many folk aren't familiar with this and don't like it but....

You wouldn't expect it on a Touareg and on an Audi Q5 either ;)

It's just the suspension geometry on the actual Porsche platforms.
