I'm looking to place an order for a Turbo (2025). I'm in Dubai and the only dealership here has no allocation, and as I understand it they cannot give me a date until Porsche gives them a date.

From what I understood, Porsche waits for "batches" of a model type and then provides allocations.

What should I expect timeline wise? Am I likely to get an allocation in the next few months, or is it on the order of 12-14 months (mentioned as worse case scenario by the dealership).

An alternative to order the 2025 now, is to place an order in March next year in which case at least I won't get the last of the 2025s (which IMHO would be disappointing since 2026 would just be rolling out).

Looking for some advice!

I am not sure how it works in your part of the world, but here in the US, dealers can trade allocation slots to satisfy customers. For example, I waited 7 months in 2022 to get a Turbo allocation when someone in Hawaii wanted to trade assuming a 911 slot, but the dealership must be proactive.

Good luck.

I am new to this, but still find this process to be frustrating. Love my Taycan but the incompetence or indifference to selling cars or providing any timeline is tiresome.

I just got a slot for December production (CT 4S). Had lost a prior slot late July for September production due to unavailability of an option (deviated stitching).

My understansing is that allocations are by dealer/country/region (Porsche APAC in my case, Porsche Middle East in yours ?).

Thanks for the info! Still trying to decide if now is the time to pull the trigger!
