I have a new appointment this Wednesday. The plan is to do a test drive together with a mechanic while he scans the logs. The logs will indicate the next steps, either they will know what to do or they will keep the car and escalate the issue to Porsche AG.

I was told the PC need photo proof in order to escalate, so my advice to others; create a few and share them with your PC

Let me know if you need my additional photos - I have plenty of the issues...

Also reported that its not fixed to the PC and they are getting back to me. I don't think they need to car again as they are stuck on what to do next

Seriously, creating pictures while driving is a no-no for a single driver.

PS: a serious joke for anyone in software product support, its not a real issue until the Customer shows proof

Of course you can’t take the pictures while driving, I got my passenger to take the photos.

My alter ego did it no worries

Jokes aside, you are right. It is still wrong but I was standing still and waiting for a red light.

I doubt it is hardware, otherwise not all EU cars would have broken at the same time...

It's for sure some software gremlin. Curious why only EU.

Are you bringing the car back to service soon? Curious how this situation progresses until Oct, when my appointment is due.
Why are you so concerned with a couple glitches in your nav unit when Porsche is really busy right now with the Taycan Turbo GT4 RS ? ;)

Who cares about a stupid looking body kit? There's like 4 people who will buy that.

There were similar silly looking body kits 5 years ago. It's a 4 door sedan, beyond silly...

Pretty sure an unfixed map issue like this will lose them more customers than a body kit from alibaba can win them.

Porsche bussiness strategy at its best again, no wonder their sells are below the sea level.

Interested to know if anybody has got any further with solving this issue. My dealer seems to be out of ideas now.

I paid for the Porsche Connect service last year and it expires at the end of the month, but tbh that is a waste of money if the navigation system doesn't work. Its a waste of money without that but either way its even more of a waste if the nav doesn't work

Nav seemed to be ok at the weekend on a short trip despite no updates since it was crashing every few minutes. Strange

Hi All.

Joined this forum just to say I am also suffering with this constant restart/reboot issue with the sat nav.
Today on the way to work whilst it was starting to crash, I noticed a white flag and a 1 on the journey part that tells you about traffic. Apologies I don’t know the specific term.

Anyway that got me thinking, what if it was something to do with the charging planning (as that’s only when I’ve seen that 1flag before) so planned to turn it off next time it happened again.

Unsurprisingly it happened on the way home today. So after it restarted, I turned off the charge planning option and it never missed a beat. It even seemed sharper.

Tomorrow is another day and I shall see if my theory holds true but you want to try turning the charge planning off also.

As to why this is happening, I assume as some of you, the hardware is being surpassed by the software and the computer is basically overloading, or potentially there is something wrong with the communication with the UK charging network.

Hoping for the latter as such be temporary but leaning more to the former.

Good luck.

Apologies, meant to add. I’m a MY22 CTT.

You might be on to something with the charge planning. At the weekend I noticed it spent ages calculating my route (25 miles, i was on 100% charge) because it said it was calculating charge planning.

Whether it is the charge planning or simply by turning it off I’ve allowed the RAM a bit of a break with less to think about im not sure but I hope it works as it’s becoming annoying.

I might try turning it off as well as I have a long journey on Sunday.
I’ve also raised a ticket with Porsche Germany by calling Porsche Connect and having a bit of a moan.
My dealer has also raised a ticket so the more people who raise one the more chance Porsche will look at it.

Maybe you’re onto something, it indeed never crashed without a destination or target set, so it could be planner related.

I’m planning to request a reimbursement for PiD and the Intelligent Range Manager feature-on-demand together with Porsche Connect. At the moment, those options are completely useless. If more people start asking the same thing, Porsche might finally have the incentive to fix these issues. It has been two long months already
