My 2022 Taycan GTS went in for a PCM update in January. Since then, my PCM often loses contact with my iPhone. In particular, Apple CarPlay doesn't work, and I get the message to enable Bluetooth and WiFi, and they already are. Resetting both (turn off and on) didn't help. Turning the car off and on didn't help. At Device Manager, there was no connection, so I did the two finger reset of the PCM (very hard to do, since I'm doing this from the Nav screen and either it zooms out with each two finger press, or it thinks I want to change the time settings) and got things working again. I had to do this twice in the last week.

Now, I seem to have LTE signal (the letters "LTE" appear), and CarPlay is working, but to the left is a phone icon with a slash through it. Also, I am not getting weather data (message says "no data connection"). I read about pulling fuses or disconnecting the battery for at least 30 minutes. Is that the answer (other than a month-long wait for a service appointment)?

Had similar symptoms with my 22 Taycan after internal alarm sensor was replaced. As you alluded to the battery disconnect fixed it but I had the dealer do it.

Are all of your Porsche Connect services active and valid?

If you do the 12v battery disconnect only do this for up to 5 mins and not 30 - as per owner's manual. This might be worth a shot as it will force a hard reboot on all 12v dependent systems of which the pcm is one.

If you see the phone icon with the slash through it it means phone calls will be answered through Carplay or Android auto. Note that you are seeing the Carplay icon too in that same list of icons. If you see the normal phone icon, it means you can call through PCM. So not a bug, just a feature

I'm not sure how to check the Porsche Connect subscription status. In the My Porsche app the Charging Service is active. The app does connect to the car.

My Porsche website or app - there is a section where you can check your various Porsche Connect services. The PCM will also tell you (its a long list) the current status of each.

I suspect these are all in order.

Have any of you had issues with LTE disappearing and seeing two lines with a slash through it? I have a signal from my cars SIM, but no active data connection.

Yes normally only momentarily until an LTE connection is made.

Could be a failing LTE module.

OP - I had some issues too, and this fixed it.
  • Clean up the Taycan PCM
    • Delete your iPhone from the list of devices in the PCM. (swipe left on the phone name)
    • Two Finger Reset your Taycan PCM
    • Get out of your car and go into the house for the iPhone steps.
  • Delete Caches on your iPhone
    • Delete your Taycan from the iPhone (General > CarPlay > Taycan_xxxx then "Forget this car:)
    • If you are using Apple Maps to identify chargers, to to Maps, click the Picture Icon next to the search bar, select Vehicles, then your Taycan, then scroll to the bottom and delete
    • Hard Reset the iPhone (see this link - this clears caches and this is probably the one thing you need, but the other steps above on your Taycan and iPhone don't hurt anything)
  • Go back to your car and reconnect your Taycan to the iPhone for CarPlay.
  • If all is now working well and you want to use Apple Maps for routing, use your My Porsche app on your phone in the car with the car running, and select Vehicle Details, then scroll down to Apple® Maps EV Routing and follow the instructions there.

That’s what I figured, unfortunately. I had it replaced last January, so hopefully it won’t take the dealer a month since we know the fix.
Thank you!

Yes, on the website, under My Vehicle and Porsche Connect Store, I see both Porsche Connect and Porsche Connect Care are active.
