Thanks to those who advised me on previous thread regarding ideal winter tire solution for Pacific Northwest area. I ended up getting snow tires fit on my existing rims and took the car to Stevens Pass. Wanted to share some pics.

Plus a random question: for slow driving on snowy unplowed surfaces such as parking lot, do you use gravel mode? I tried it and was fine but haven’t looked into it much.

That looks like lot 4? 😁

I used gravel mode last week on US2, before the thaw. Otherwise I don’t bother, even in the parking lot. I saved the location in smart lift, and that’s about the only thing I use.

I usually park in lot G; I’ll swing by 4 for a group shot opportunity.

How did the cold impact your range? What kind of range degradation did you experience?
Pretty solid:
On the way up: 87mi @ 1.7 mi/kwh; on the way back 101mi @ 3.0 mi/wkh (added a purposeful detour). I suspect the trip up was partly because I had a fast charge stopover planned into the route and it spent energy heating the battery from 55 degrees to about 85-90 deg, to be able to charge quickly. And of course all the ascent on the way to mountain, versus benefit of regeneration on way back down. One other view, mileage after the charging was 151mi @ 2.5 mi/kwh. To me, this is pretty solid and a bit better than I had guessed.

My winter range has dropped to ~210mi at 100%; summer range was 240. I'm usually using up 60% for a round trip, which is bang-on 210mi total range.

My last few trips to Stevens (most recent first):
durationavg speeddistanceconsodirection
01:22 h 47 mph63 mi4.2 mi/kWhdown
01:17 h50 mph63 mi 1.9 mi/kWhup
01:37 h43 mph68 mi3.6 mi/kWhdown
01:35 h 44 mph68 mi1.8 mi/kWhup
01:51 h35 mph63 mi3.8 mi/kWhdown, cold
01:32 h42 mph63 mi1.7 mi/kWhup, cold
01:43 h40 mph68 mi3.0 mi/kWhdown, very cold
02:51 h35 mph98 mi 2.0 mi/kWhup, cold
Total elevation gain is ~4000ft; 'cold'/'very cold' was near 0*F/-18*C or below (road conditions were also different).
