Guys
My IPC says that mission e wheels are going to end up having scratches as a result of stones getting caught in the open wheel design.
I’m getting mission e in gloss black and am thinking is this going to be a non starter

For Those of you who have these wheels and do general daily driving - what’s your experience?
I’m not referring to Kerbing.

I have Mission E wheels on my Carrera white T4S, and have about 4800 miles on my car and not a single scratch on my wheels. I'm not sure what the IPC is saying, but rocks or other debris has been no issue for me in my wheels so far. I love these wheels and really feel like they are by far the best looking wheel from the 2020 MY choices I had. I also think if you have PSCB or PCCB that the larger rotors and colored calipers really look great through the open spoke pattern of this wheel.

We have these wheels and noticed a rock chip within the first couple of weeks of owning the car. Nothing else since then so I can’t say if it’s going to be be an ongoing issue. We’re going to have it repaired by a local rim specialist. I would still opt for the wheels as I think they are the best looking option for the car and the fix should be pretty inexpensive.

I have the exact same damage on one of my wheels, unfortunately. Haven't repaired it yet, but it's definitely going to be "a thing".

I have had my White Turbo with Mission E wheels for about 2 months (Daily driven) with about 2200 miles and I already have a few scratches on my wheels. I would have thought that Porsche would have at least put 2 or more coats of paint on the wheels.

I got my first chip in my Mission E wheels. I have about 1000 miles on it. I’m going to try to touch it up myself and then spray it with a gloss paint protection spray I found online that’s made for wheels. I hope it works!

Can you get PPF/XPEL for wheels?

I’ve read, on this forum I believe, that PPF isn’t recommended for wheels.
Here’s what I ordered.
https://getsuperwrap.com/product/liquidshield-wheels-kit/20-22-wheels/
I’ve got it now. I’ll probably apply it in the next couple weeks. I’ve used plasti dip in the past to black out chrome. One of my friends did her wheels with plasti-dip and it looked great. This spray looks like it goes on in a similar manner but it is gloss.
This stuff sounds too good to be true. It’s essentially PPF for you wheels for $65.

I HAVE THEM IN WHITE TO MATCH THE BODY COLOR ON A TURBO S.
NO SCRATCHES IN A YEAR OF USE, BUT LOW MILEAGE. THEY'RE SUPER EASY TO CLEAN.

This does not look like road damage. It looks like 'mounting damage' to me anyways. I can't see how a scratch like that (perpendicular to the direction of travel) would occur while driving.

I've got 10K miles on my car, including two very long trips and not one scratch on the wheels.

this,...

Im guessing its 'Dolomite Silver Metallic F0' to keep it simple for the surround and and 'Black L700' for the spokes, but would be great to confirm.

I just purchased a pre-owned with 2800 miles on the car and what looks like 20,000 miles on the front wheels, clearly used to 'touch park' on the regular!

What color are the wheels if you do not get them in your cars body color? White or brushed aluminum? They do not look white in my configurator (Jet Black car).

Are the above codes confirmed for standard silver/ black missions Es?

Few curb mark I need to touch up!
