Any station with only 1 charger is definitely ruled out for me. 2 chargers, I will make sure there is a backup close by. So I guess many Lidl chargers will be used mainly by local driving, which could help free up larger HPC stations. But TOTAL still confuse me since they hve announced some very aggressive plans for keeping their forecourt’s occupied. The failure to charge at these stations will certainly backfire if they do not sort out that quickly.

gave the app another try on the way back and again it recommended a tragically slow charger that was not far from a 350kw Allego charger in a Carefour in Rouen which I diverted too instead that got me back to the Eurotunnel terminal. And lo and behold the shiny 225kw Electra chargers that didn't work 4 months ago still didn't work so used the much slower Tesla chargers taking up about 4 spots as the curbing meant the only way for the cable to reach was if parked side on.

Caveat about the Allego chargers - I returned last week after a week's vacation in the Alsace region. The 350kw Allego chargers at Aire de la Bruche off the A355 yielded a shameful 30Kw on the two separate days I visited. I never experienced such disappointing scores when using Ionity.

Since the charging network in France is hopelessly fragmented per region and will require a heap of different cards, I usually stick to Ionity chargers, plus just a Chargemap card for charging in cities. No problems to date.
