Im new to the Porsche world and currently I have demand orders in place with a few Porsche dealers for a GTS Sport Turismo. Im told to expect an allocation sometime in late 2022 for a May / June 2023 delivery - assuming the world doesnt turn upside down any more than it already is.

Can someone please explain how the allocation process works? Do Porsche dealers get allocations based on their volume each month? Or do they get allocations in a batch for the next model year? Ive searched Google for answers but haven't been able to find anything definitive.

Cheers!

Its Magic, with a little bit of chaos theory thrown in and is different for every country

But all in all the post above summarizes it :CWL:

Right now, think of it like a Rolex. They have em, but getting them directly from the source is gonna make you feel a little crazy. The grey market (AKA pre-owned) is like the Rolex market too.

Hold if you can. I wouldn't want to be in possession of any of these cars at prices today when the market corrects.

So the takeaway here is that the answer is: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
