You understand that an internet connection is not needed to use the PMC+ to charge your Taycan, right?

Yes, but would be nice if I can monitor and see the process of the charger.

Also do you know if I can leave the charger for 1 week connected to the car and go for a vacation? Will that stop charging at 85%? And again when it goes below 85%, will it start charging again up to %85%?

Leaving the car for one week will not drain any significant energy from the batttery. Not sure it even will drain 1%. No need to plug in if you leave the car charged at 50% or so.
Have a look at this Porsche document!

the only way I'm aware of to communicate with the PMC+ is via PLC (Powerline Communication) - when I was tolerating my PMCC I tried a couple of PLC devices but was never able to get them to work or provide any network connectivity - I'm not saying they can not or will not work - I'm saying with PLC YMMV…and it requires very specific physical topology for your home residential power "grid"…I was never able to bridge my PMCC onto my home CAT-5 network via any PLC device I purchased and played with - but I think that is due to the wonky'ness of my home power grid…so that's on me and I didn't pursue it any further.

when I was talking to my PMCC via it's wifi connection the information was inconsequential and the charging stats are only useful for a few weeks of ownership while you're learing the car. I could lean the same information (how much and when is it charging) by purchasing a generic "meter" to monitor electricity flow on my the breaker powering my EVSE…

also I believe PLC is used outside North America along with Porsche's home energy manager which can have command/control over Porsche's EVSE's to keep a home's energy use with in budget and take advantage of surplus capacity and solar production - but HEM is not a product in the North American market so the PLC's capabilities of the PMC+/PMCC are largely unused in the North American market.

if you must have excellent network access to your EVSE I'd recommend either the Wallbox, JuiceBox, or Ubiquity EVSE's - they have excellent network presence via Wifi and/or Ethernet and I'm sure provide fun/factual/interesting access to various aspects of EVSE performance and operation. Tesla Wall Chargers Gen3 also have Wifi, but the wifi site is only used for configuration, and very very limited monitoring of current power draw during a charging session - also the "informational" and "configuration" website is only available if your device is connected directly to the EVSE's built in hotspot (I guessing for security) - Tesla Wall charger does join your home's wifi network, but that is only for OTA updates - no information/control is available from the Tesla Wall chargers - wifi is also used by Tesla Wall charger when configured for "power sharing" where they are splitting the load of a single electrical circuit and charging multiple vehicles at the same time.

good luck, but I wouldn't sweat it - it's a lot of work to achieve very little outcome and it has no lasting appeal…

EVSE's should be invisible and 100% functional - just plug them in and they charge your EV - in my experience since 2012 the simple EVSE's have been the best EVSE's.
