I think I slightly brushed up against the car walking past it in the garage when my wife parked a little too close.

The car has both Carpro DQuartz and CQuartz pro on it and I believe a polish will remove those coatings, so I'm hesitant to go down that path. It's not noticeable except at certain angles with exactly the right lighting (low sun... I've been had trouble seeing it with a bright LED at any angle)... so I'm going to try Carpro Essence Plus first to see if I can easily hide it.

If that doesn't work and it still bothers me I might bring it in to the pros.

I've learned a bit about my self over the last 4 months... I'm more anal about these things than I thought and I've found a good reason to get a full PPF job that can self heal.

For future generations, Carpro Essence Plus did not work... it may have made the marks slight less noticeable but it's not worth the cost.


Looks like the options are living with it vs. polish and recoat :\

Quick follow up to this story. I did a full decon wash today (ADS Decon prewash followed by a contact wash with Carpro Descale and finally topped with Carpro Elixir) and I can't see the marks any longer.

It could be I haven't hit the right light yet, but if it's still there it realllllly hard to see.

I had a little on my Taycan from thing to polish out a minor scratch. I guess I did not do a good job. The detailer that do the polish and ceramic made the car look new !
