Had my MY2022 Taycan CT charging last evening as usual with a target of 85%. Charge completed this morning as expected. The only error message on the phone app was, "Unable to reach the set target charge". This happens frequently even though the target charge of 85% was reached.
I went to unplug the J1772 connector and it would not release. The car was unlocked in the garage when I started the charge. The first thing I tried was unlocking the car with the key fob, even though it was already unlocked. I thought about pulling the emergency release cord in the door jamb, but decided against that until I checked the online manual. I found a reference to the software unlock feature and gave it a try. Every time I selected the option to unlock the port, the car would re-lock the port before I had time to exit the cabin and remove the plug.
I then decided to cut the power to the EVSE by flipping the circuit breaker to the off position. After doing that, I was able to select the unlock port option from the central screen, get out of the car, and remove the plug.
At this point I don't know if the EVSE or the car caused the problem. If this happens repeatedly with the Grizzle EVSE I will either try the passenger side port, or the Porsche charger that came with the car to try to troubleshoot the problem.
