Hi,
As the range of operations dropped quite significantly, deciced that its time to change the battery.

when I opened up the key, it had cr2032 in it.

measure voltage and sure enought it was about 2.89v.

dropped in a new one (3.3v as measure), and to my surprise, car in dashboard started to brag, that there is a low voltage now.

how can that be? Is the “industrial” panasonic cr2032 somehow different?

tried two different coins, same result.

Same happened to me this morning, except it was at the dealer (wholly owned by Porsche) and they replaced it as a commercial courtesy. After two replacements by the head of the service department it still showed the same message. They took the car and plugged it into their PWIS and erased the error messages. All good now ! Note: car 17 months old.

Gotcha. Lets see if maybe it takes some time to automatically reset. Will update how it goes.

Really? Mine measures 2.905V. Car complained after 16 months, so I replaced it. Need to see, if car stops complaining...

Error went away a few hours later. So all good. Below 3 will cause range to drop especially in colder times.

OK, I'll keep watching, because this morning with new battery still get the warning...

Did the dashboard warning go away? I have the same issue and the warning indicator hasn't gone away after 3 days now. New battery read 3.3V while old read 2.9V. Both were able to power an LED with a 1K resistor as well. Is there a way to reset the warning on dash?
