Well, the Chassis Error that was plaguing me before they readjusted the heights is...back. Anyone else seeing this?

I’ve seen a bunch of error codes, but never that one.

It happens when going between, say, Normal and Range, or Sport + and Normal...in essence, low/very low to Normal height.

I've not seen that error before.

Is there a chance there were several height changes in quick succession:

Frequent chassis height changes can cause the
compressor to overheat. In this case, the compressor
must cool for several minutes before the leveling
system is fully functional again. The selected height
is set automatically once the compressor has cooled
down.

Unfortunately, no. In fact, right now all I need to do is switch into "Range" and I get the error.

This was a problem on delivery, and I took it in. They "recalibrated" the height setting, and it went away for a week, but now it's back. I think it's an intermittent height sensor in the suspension, but I don't know if it's the front or back.

I think I might be the lucky guy with the Friday Car.

OK sorry to hear that.

To add to the joy there are height sensors at each corner. When you select Range mode it lowers the car for the best CD.

Good luck and keep us posted on the resolution.

So, my Taycan is back at Porsche as they try to diagnose the Chassis Error.

A question for those of you who were here before (hopefully you'll get some notification): how quickly does your car go from normal to low when you switch to Sport + or Range?

In my car, it can take up to 3 minutes of flashing before it finally either says it's in double-arrow low or throws a chassis error.

I have a feeling that other Taycans only take a few moments to drop to Lower or Low...

Maybe 2 seconds to change the height. Maybe less. Very very quick and seamless.

Any direction, but yes. If anything going to lower or low seems faster than raising.
Yeah, you'd think that'd just be opening a valve and sensing position, and would be quite fast. It seems quite clear to me this is where the problem is, and I hope they fix it. I'm tired of loaners and chassis errors. :)

Have you tried taking it to a different dealership, if that's an option?

Not yet, no. This has been unusually difficult for them to diagnose, partially because Porsche NA hasn't been terribly forthcoming with ideas, and none of the techs have extensive experience with Taycan failures.

It similarly took a number of visits to fully diagnose the other major issue my car had (its inability to charge at any 800V chargers) due to a bad HV booster... no one else on here had that problem, either, and I think both of these issues are quite rare. I'm just..."lucky".
