Once in a while, the LKA turns on when I unlock and turn on my car. I need to go into the PCM and uncheck

I never want LKA on. Am i doing something wrong?

If you are doing something wrong I am too. J1.1 Taycan this never happened. New Audi e-tron GT (J1.2) turns on LKA at seemingly random intervals. Go into the MMI/PCM and there it is set to "on". Turn it off and all is good for two or three days until it's back on upon starting the car. I haven't had it turn on LKA mid drive, always on starting. No indication of anything OTA going on. I haven't counted the number of drives between occurrences but it's almost as if the car defaults to putting LKA on every X number of starts.

I had the J1.1 RS E-Tron GT, never any bugs either.

Made appointment for service, will let you know the results

I think we both know what service is going to say. "We've never heard of this before and we don't see anything wrong." And that will be after the car has sat on their lot for 10 days before a tech even looks at it. But hopefully I am wrong and you find a solution. It's not the worst fault ever but it is annoying when it happens.

You're probably right, but at least there is a record of the instance

Just an uneducated guess. Can it be linked to the memory seats? That you've pressed profile 2 or 3 with the assistance enabled?

It's a valid point. I'm the only one that has driven it and I never touch the memory settings

Same on my 25' Taycan4S ~ its not saved to any driver profile ! I have InnoDrive and always making sure LKA not on. BTW, don't bother asking service. The iOs update 17.2.0 glitched and couldn't log in for 2 days and the after speaking with Porsche CustomerSupport, they realized it and finally push 17.2.1 update to fix it ~

Maybe it’s judging your driving thinking you need help. 😂

In all seriousness though it’s likely a bug. Not sure it’s worth a dealer trip unless they have a software update to fix it.

Is there a Porsche EV department to report software bugs to? On my last EV you could report and it helped them work on OTA updates to fix bugs like this.

It's always good to have any record of any issues and for Porsche to have that data.

I'm not expecting them to have a fix for it

Thank you from the rest of us!

Just hoping there’s an easier way to document these things without spending days at a dealership. Would make the bug fixing process much faster for sure. Does Porsche have an official presence on the forum?

My last car forum had an “official Ford account” and they definitely reported bugs as well as connected people with tickets for the service centers to expedite fixes. Was kinda nice.

German OEMs heavily rely on the dealer to funnel information to them.
I asked Audi and Porsche about their presence on forums like ours. They didn't seem to care for it.

I completely agree with you though. It would be very efficient and ahead of issues if they just had one person scanning the forums
