I'm looking for a detailer in the Austin, TX area. Partially for the Taycan when it arrives, but also a mobile detailer to come and clean up my tesla before I sell it or trade it in. It's got some guck stuck to the PPF that I'd like *someone else* to do the work of cleaning up ;)

Any recommendations, anyone?

Check out Tomato Werks on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/Tomato-Werks-1496910437272298 . Carlos Gaytan is GREAT. Don't know when he is headed back to Austin (he lives in the DFW area), but you can reach out to him and see. He did my Taycan upon delivery and is doing another Taycan this week. He knows what to do with these cars and his work is AWESOME!!!! No affiliation other than being a VERY SATIFSFIED customer. Tell Carlos you heard about him from me.

I second TomatoWerks. He is incredible, and does mobile detailing.

If you're ever in the DFW area though, Andy Kay does fabulous work as well. He's a PCNA member too.

I'm in DFW. Do you know if either TomatoWerks or Andy Kay apply ceramic and/or graphene coatings?

Both do Ceramic. Not sure about the Graphene
I had a text exchange with Carlos today. It turns out he doesn't do ceramic coatings and interesting enough doesn't recommend it. I was planning on getting my car coated but now I'm having second thoughts.

That's probably the first I've hard someone recommend against a ceramic coat. What's the reason?

I just got my XPel PPF and ceramic coating (Feynlab) done at Gulf Coast Auto Shield. Can't recommend them enough! John, the owner of the shop, is a huge car guy and took care of my car if it was his own. Give John a call if you are looking for an expert in PPF and ceramic coating!

Sorry for the delayed reply.

He was a little guarded with his answer but as I recall he implied that it was just an upsell and that if you had him detail once or twice a year it was unnecessary.
