In Denmark there is a lot of tax on cars. We pay 2,5 times as much for cars than other countries. We have a 150% tax on cars. But on electric cars the tax is only 65 %.
I save some money on importing a “used” car because the tax is then lower.

but I am satisfied with my buy. And congrats to you!
I share your pain. I paid more than double what I'd pay in my home country, even after a tax break for scrapping an ICE car. It was an eye-watering amount by my standards. Still, I'm very happy with the purchase, which really I've waited all my life to be able to make.

Congrats to the OP on the new car. I hope you will have the same satisfaction that I have with mine, which looks just like yours ;-).

Ouch that really hurts, I am in New Jersey and they have zero tax on EV’s.

as it should be. But the taxes in Denmark pays for a lot of infrastructure, healthcare and so on. So we are use to it.
But if you are a carfreak, Then this is the wrong country to live in :)
