A few weeks shut down that is regularly planned for in their summer period shouldn't affect general projections. It wasn't an unknown.

Like Dabz says, you'd surely consider trying to catch up a bit but if the laws are such, maybe they can't.

It shouldn't be a reason for further delays on something which was delayed already though. Their previous estimates must've covered for their regular shut down anyway.

Given Turbo S rarity, I’d shop around other dealers who might have an allocation. Even if they don’t and they offer you first position in line, I’d put 2-3 deposits, and see which one pans out first, cancelling others.
It’s free to do and while time consuming might pay off rather than waiting until 2024!

It's 2023 they're saying now.

If it's 2024, I'd just be cancelling it altogether, lol.

It's probably a bit late now to start doing that. Given I'm 9 months into the process. I'd imagine any deposit I put down elsewhere now goes into the 12 month+ wait everyone has.

If I'd known I might have done it from the beginning.

This is for a Taycan 4S... through Arnold Clark Leasing Group.

The account dealer has confirmed it’s on for a Dec ‘22 delivery into Porsche Cambridge.

Like yourself, I’ve also ordered through Porsche Cambridge (via Zenith). Consider yourself extremely lucky, I placed my order in January 2022 and am expecting delivery in January 2023. How have you managed to get delivery within 7 months of ordering! Jealous would be an understatement!

I was told it was because my model / spec wasn’t a high pressure one so more available; RWD sport Turismo with larger battery pack.

His words were “my timing was impeccable”.
