If you figure it out it will be great if you could record it. Not enough DIY videos on YouTube when it comes to Taycans

Looking at the charring it is a wonder Porsche doesn't replace all of these preemptively. So why wasn't this covered by Porsche? I thought we all got a warranty extension? Or was this outside the five-year window? Oh and nice photo of the coolant manifold. I haven't seen this. I like the hoses labeled A,B,C,D...

It's complicated.Porsche dealer which work with EV is 250km from me and towing cost me 500€.Used obc was 300.And my time.Warranty?Maybe yes maybe no.Car is on the black list.So I fix it alone...just not 100%.Yes,its nice to see all this crazy stuff in the front. Also, it was not difficult to change it.For me was 2 hours. Now when I know all the things it will be one hour.

You need somebody with a PPN account to remove the component-protection
Either a porsche center, or some shop that works on porsches ... it can also be done remotely if you can find somebody who offers that.

Apparently porsche doesn't have 22kw OBC's left to install, so in case of warranty they'll replace it with a 11kw one ... and you may get some compensation.

I can confirm that you will need somebody with a PPN account to remove the component-protection.

The point of this is to ensure that stolen parts are not fitted to cars and puts a stop to theft of these parts.

Some people are offering the Porsche CP removal service on eBay in the UK…..
The difficulty with this is that you need the correct OBD device (VCI) for them to offer this service, so if they are in other parts of the world this may require you to purchase the necessary VCI.

Then there is the issue of the source of the item that you fitted to your car, if it comes from a stolen vehicle, the person with the PPN license will lose it if he is found to be coding stolen parts, so there are a few hurdles to overcome before this service can be offered.

There is one guy that I know of is in the UK that offers this service for not much money, but you would have to travel to him to allow him to use his official software and VCI to perform the service.

No harm in looking at the eBay offerings though.

You might find that your local Porsche service centre will help, but I have no experience with this.
