It's not normal to have any kind of charging issues and it's not common either. The only exception is the 22kW OBC, but that just blows up in a spectacular fashion when it goes on the AC side.
Also if you already have issues it's not going to go away on it's own.
you were right 😢 stranded after 3 kms….

My $.02 but the other update belongs here and not on a new topic.

Apparently you and I were on the OBC charger failure list this week. Mine even took out my EVSE in my garage. Car is on the flatbed of shame to the Porsche center now.

I have just had the 22kW obc replaced under warranty with an 11kW obc. AC charging would not work on both sides. It took several weeks to get a slot at the Porsche garage, so had to use DC charging for several week, Tesla and Gridserve. They did the work in one day. All seems ok now.
This happened to me too a while back — I suddenly discovered that my Charge Amps Dawn wall box "crashed" (blew the fuse) whenever I connected the HVB charging cable. I tried DC charging at my local Tesla station, and that worked just fine, but AC charging didn't work at my local Porsche Center neither, so I left my car there two weeks ago (got a Cayenne hybrid as a free loaner).

Turns out the 22kW OBC was toast, but Porsche doesn't replace it with a new 22kW OBC, instead they replace it with an 11kW OBC and then refund the difference from when the car was ordered new with the 22kW (appr. USD 1,800). Unfortunately, Porsche Germany were low even on 11kW OBC's, so it took until today to get it delivered and installed (I will pick the car up tomorrow).

Going from 22kW to 11kW is not a big issue for me as I only have 25A at home (i.e. max 11kW charging), but I have configured the Charge Amps Dawn app to 8A, so in practicality my charging is done at around 4-5 kw (the slower charging speed is better for the battery, and I normally don't drive any longer distances, so a day's driving is mostly re-charged over night).
